These inconsistencies aside, it does have a stockpile of food and water and other resources, so sticking it out there for a while makes sense. It has electric locks that work without power! And hot running water! Wouldn't a smaller building be easier to hold against both zombies and bandits? Then I realized: It's because it's a magical hotel. At first I wondered why they'd pick such a huge structure to try to protect. ![]() Madison wants to clear the hotel and fortify it. ![]() I can see why there would still be bad blood, but that's not very good reasoning. The mom from the wedding blames Elena for killing her husband, which is just stupid since he was already a goner before she locked the doors. Then Alicia and Madison try to get Elena and the hotel survivors to work together. If you don't see someone die on screen, they're probably not dead (which is why it's possible Salazar is still alive.) I suppose it was to make us wonder or worry that maybe Madison and Strand were dead, but we know that wasn't the case. I'm not sure why they broke it up the way they did. We see how Madison and Strand got away from the zombie horde from a couple episodes ago, though it's almost superfluous at this point. The rest of the episode was a little less compelling. The latter was just a really nice scene about loss, with Strand at his best and most compassionate.
